Oval is the shape to pick when you want to seat eight but the room will not take a 200cm rectangle. No sharp corners to catch a hip on the way past, and nobody is marooned at the ends.

The top is recycled village wood, so old nail holes, saw marks and colour variation come as part of it. Dark grey keeps it from reading too rustic. Powder coated steel underneath takes the weight without a centre leg getting in the way of chairs.
