Inky blues and steel greys run through the reactive glaze on the Medway candle, a ceramic pot with a natural-toned centre and a matching lid. It is filled with a rose-fragranced candle and measures 12.5cm across and 6.3cm high, a neat size for a bedside table or bathroom shelf.

Expect an approximate burn time of 15 to 18 hours; burn it for 3 to 4 hours at a time and trim the wick to 5mm. Once the wax is used up, the lidded pot makes a trinket dish. The Medway candle also comes in ochre.
